Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Varsity Score mobile application (the “App”) or the Varsity Score website at varsityscoreapp.com (the “Website”), collectively the “Service,” you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including streamers, viewers, and visitors.
Use of the Service
Varsity Score provides tools for recording and live streaming sports games with score overlays. You may use the Service for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary permissions to record and stream any event, including consent from participants, venue operators, and any applicable governing organizations.
Accounts
Certain features of the Service require you to create an account using Google OAuth. When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Live Streaming
Public Visibility: When you stream a game through Varsity Score, the live video and audio are broadcast publicly on varsityscoreapp.com and any third-party platforms you choose (Twitch, Facebook). Anyone can view your live stream while it is active.
Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content of your streams. You must have the right and permission to broadcast any individuals, venues, or events that appear in your stream.
Minors: If your stream includes minors, you must have obtained appropriate consent from their parents or legal guardians before broadcasting.
No Guarantee of Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted streaming service. Streams may be affected by network conditions, server capacity, or maintenance.
User Content
Ownership: You retain ownership of all content you create, record, or stream through the Service, including videos, recordings, and game data.
License to Varsity Score: By streaming content through the Service, you grant Varsity Score a limited, non-exclusive license to transmit and display your live stream content on the Website for the duration of the broadcast. This license ends when your stream ends.
Content Standards: All streamed content must relate to legitimate sporting events. You agree not to stream content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by Varsity Score and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written consent.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Stream content that violates any law or third-party rights
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
- Access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers) without permission
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Re-stream or redistribute another user's live stream without their consent
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Varsity Score shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
